How well the group managed people: Shanam

As a group we had our own individual tasks which we were divided at the very first while starting this assignment.  We planned our works, had some discussion, shared our idea and managed it.  Some of us chose filming part, some chose editing whereas some chose doing proposal and planning.  We as a team stayed together to make our work more interesting and exciting.

Health and Safety issue: Shanam

Health and safety law is a body of law that protects the health, safety and welfare of the general public and certain defined sectors of the population such as employees. It is one of the most important thing to be careful of when we are in a workplace and also in our day to day life.

Everyone of us in the group have to make sure that we are all safe while doing the TV advert. We have to be aware of the every possible hazards while making TV advert. We have to remove the wiring from the walking path, use of the caution signs in the faulty places where accident might happen etc.Being in the group, I have illustrated few Health and Safety steps below.

  1. Tidy Wiring
Tidy wiring in the workplace will definitely makes the work easier and beneficial. It will help the personnel to arrange the cameras, lights and mic easily. In other hand, it will also lessen the trips, falls and accidents in the work place. We can do tidy wiring by  using the multi socket instead of using numerous wires through the walking path or we can use a product called Tidy wires which organize many wires into a single wire by wrapping all the wires in a place.
  2.  Caution Sign
A Caution sign is a warning sign which gives the close attention or vigilance to minimize risk. The caution signs are the most effective way to minimize risk in the work places. Caution signs are used in the hazardous places like wet floor, high voltages, no entry, mind your head, trip hazards etc.

Proposal for Monster Energy Drink -Shanam

Proposal for Monster Energy Drink
We are going to create a TV advert for Monster Energy Drink. Monster Energy drink is a very popular energy drink in the current market. It is launched by Monster Corporation in 2002. The regular Monster drink comes in a black can with a green tear-shaped M logo. The logo is impression to have been torn by the claws of the monster.

Most companies spend their money on ad agencies, TV commercials, radio spots, and billboards to tell you how good their products are. At Monster they choose none of the above. Instead, they support the scene, the bands, the athletes and their fans. They back athletes so they can make a career out of their passion. They promote concert tours, so their favorite bands can visit their home town. They celebrate with their fans and riders by throwing parties and making the coolest events they can think of a reality.

Target Audience
The Monster energy drink targets over most of the teenagers. The young male audience and consumers are attracted by the Monster energy drink. We can see loads of teenagers hanging the poster of the Monster logo on their walls, in the bikes and different accessories. The logo tends to attract a lot of young male audience. So, the target audience of the monster energy drink would be the people/ audience from age 15-20. I have mentioned the people of age 20 also because that is the first adult year and they might have habit of drinking the monster energy drink.

Sports men and women would definitely love the Monster energy drink. They need more energy when they are warming up, playing and doing other physical activities. There are other energy drinks too but monster energy drink has fancy looks and is more in amount. So, targeting more on the teenagers and sports men and women might help a lot to promote the business and persuade the audience.

The above audience and the description are the general target audience. Now the specific target audience of the Monster energy drink are the sports fans. The Monster cooperation does not believe in TV adverts. However, they do the advertising in different style. They are the sponsor of many games like off road biking and cars, Skate and bikes, event organizers etc. So the people, participant and players in these categories have loads of fans which will definitely target the stunt game fans.

Persuasive Technique
In simple word, Persuasive Technique are the technique that business or a company use in their adverts to persuade the audience to use their product, ideas, goods and services. We are going to make a TV Advert for The Monster energy drink. I am going to bring some creative style to our TV advert of Monster drink. My theme will be very typical and normal. I am using couple of persuasive Techniques. Some of the persuasive techniques are as follow:
Humor: It simply means something funny and makes people laugh.
Bandwagon: A statement suggesting that everyone is using a specific product, so you should too.
Sponsor: It is one of the unique adverting techniques which the Monster Co operation brings under use. Sponsoring on different events, player and gamer brings loads of advantages which makes the organizers to promote the sponsor as a credit which will attract their fan to the businesses.

Budget

Budget is the estimate cost and expenditure for the certain period of time and specific period in written format. So, for the TV advert assignment I don’t think we need to estimate lots of budget. I would estimate £5.00 to £10 for the advert that me and my group are going to produce.

How me and the group managed people - Todd

We managed people well in are group because we assigned are self to do different tasks and took responsibility the way i done this is that i told shanam who was the camera man to move into the different places so he could get the best possible angles for the footage.
me shanam and louis managed the athlete on the skate board by directing him the different shooting spots that we was going to use, if he didnt perform the trick how the way we wanted we would tell him to retry until the footage was perfect. me and another member of the group was acting in the advert  so we needed to learn our lines so it was acting out the way we wanted.

How to manage time - Todd

we managed time by splitting up all the tasks given and setting are self a certain amount of time on each task we made sure we had enough time to do all tasks given to us in enough time. we have made a plan for each task and how long we are going to spend until we need to star the next. we assigned tasks to each of us in the group and made a plan from when we are going to do these certain tasks so it worked well together and we managed to achieve everything and it ran smoothly. we had a few problems when we made this advert, we did not have enough time to film in certain locations so we had to improvise and film in local areas instead. but overall we did not have any major issues with time management but there was something i would work on if i did it again.
